Performance

Kristina Veit received her diploma as a classical and contemporary stage dancer from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt. After 4 years of theater engagements in Linz and St Gallen, she began to work as a freelance with companies in Denmark, Spain and Uruguay from 2005 on. In 2009, Frankfurt became her home base and since then she has been working in a wide variety of contexts and with diverse artists and ensemble structures. Her works have been presented at the Staatstheater Darmstadt, Hessisches Staatstheater Wiesbaden, Frankfurt Lab, Künstlerhaus Mousonturm, Marti- Gropius-Bau Berlin, Schwankhalle Bremen, in Switzerland, and Denmark, as well as in Sofia, Bulgaria at the 180° Festival, and at other museums and gallery spaces. She collaborates with interdisciplinary artists such as Alexandar Hadjiev, Tony Rizzi, Ksenia Raavina, Sven Gey, Matter of Facts Studio, Dalibor Markovic, Michael Douglas Collectiv, Sasha Walz & guest, Forsythe Company and many more.

Education/Art

Since 2010 Kristina has been working on projects focusing on the development of creativity and personality of children and youths using elements of physical motion and interdisciplinary art. She has been part of the project “KreativLabor” of the Charles-Hallgarten-School Frankfurt since 2011. She has been collaborating between 2010-19 with the foundation Kunst und Natur at Bettina Schule, Hölderlin Schule, IGS Nordend and GrundSchule Reifenberg. Between 2017 and 2020 she was part at AllOurFuture a project of Schauspielhaus Frankfurt, working weekly with 3 school groups. She was also part of UN-Art at Schauspielhaus Frankfurt, Berufsschule Oberursel and IGS Oberursel.
She gives regular workshops for teachers in Hessen and Bavaria. 2017/18 she worked on the conception and implementation of further training for special needs school teachers in Bavaria through the Kunst und Natur Foundation.

Cultural Political Work

In 2009 she founded a.o. ID_Frankfurt/ Independent Dance and performing Arts Frankfurt, a non-profit association that is committed to cultural-political work in the field of free performing arts in Frankfurt and works to improve the infrastructure. ID_Frankfurt e.V. is the organizer of IMPLANTIEREN festival and manages the Z, Center for Rehearsals and Research, which opened in 2012. The activities of ID_Frankfurt are developed and supported by the members in a collaborative and solidary way. Kristina was part of the board until 2016.

Bodywork

The Body as a field of practice and learning has been fascinating ever since. Driven by this fascination Kristina experienced 3 yoga teacher trainings, diverse workshops, and intense seminars and personal practice time in various traditions. A one year programme of body oriented psychotherapy followed by 4 years of assisting and learning practice. In 2013 she came across Nuad Phaen Boran (Thai Massage) in the lineage of Asokananda. Yoga and Nuad Phaen Boran (Thai Massage) are a longterm deepening practice which she shares in various contexts (emano.eu). She has a teaching assignment for Yoga at the HFMDK Frankfurt since 2011.
