One week stand | Architectural Thinking Tools

The “One Week Stand” format is a research project to which the MichaelDouglas collective  selected artists and experts from other disciplines for the period from only one week invites in. During this week the collective deals with instinctive creativity in the artistic creation process and explores the possibilities of dance in a very limited rehearsal period. After the performances, which conclude the week-long rehearsals, there are discussions with the audience.

Together with two members of the Ensemble für Neue Musik Handwerk and using the architectural thinking tools proposed by Dr.-Ing Michael Steinbusch, distinctions are made between physical approaches: in relation to space, sound and body, in relation to functionality and artificiality and above all in relation to the ground on which we stand.
